    This unique, 8.5-hour photo tour begins in Waikiki with a hotel pickup in a spacious, air-conditioned van. The sunrise tour departs from the hotel an hour before the sun comes up, then a drive to a spectacular beach for a breathtaking view of the sun at dawn as it appears on the horizon with splashing waves and tide pools. After sunrise we stop for a quick breakfast and continue our tour stopping at numerous locations around the entire island of Oahu. Learn how to use light, and discover what framing, shutter speed, focal points and other important topics mean to composing a great image. Then explore the best places — and find the best angles — in which to take pictures on this breathtaking island. It’s the best of both worlds: a tour with an experienced local guide who shares their knowledge of the Hawaiian history and culture and a mini photo lesson with some of the most beautiful scenery in the world for a postcard-perfect sunrise. Along the way, learn about Hawaii’s history, its wildlife and the geography from the naturalist guide who is not only an expert in photography, but also a Hawaii insider with an in-depth knowledge of the island of Oahu. My sunrise and island tour with Bonnie was such an amazing and memorable experience. She was so knowledgeable about Hawaiian culture, picturesque spots, and photo tips for my SLR and iPhone. Her enthusiasm was the best part - she is so energetic and fun and really made the tour personal for what our group wanted. I also loved the small size of the group - only 4 of us! We really got to know each other well and I feel like I have some new friends for life. I will definitely book another tour with Blue Hawaii and will try to get Bonnie again. You should too! Such great value and the best souvenirs you’ll ever get. :) Thank you!

I did the the Sunrise tour with Marie and then did the rest of the Island tour with Bonnie and was the 4th member with Chigirl1074, the one with the camera! (I did the tour about a week ago). I’ve owned cameras for 50+ years, and did this tour because I was sure that photographers leading the group would know great photogenic locations. And they certainly did. But the bonus was that many tips were offered that were extremely useful. Also the great thing was that so many tips were given to those using their phone cameras to help them to get even better photos. So for the sunrise tour I was the only one on the tour and was taken to a great location. The sunrise was admittedly not a picture perfect one (lots of cloud), but Marie suggested different angles to get quite good photos to take advantage of the situation. I then joined the island tour lead by Bonnie. Again lots of information was given on the locations, the island in general, and also more photography tips and many shot selection ideas were suggested. Overall a great day of sightseeing, photo opportunities and learning about both the island and photography.
