    After lunch, you will have a guided tour of the quaint village Auvers sur Oise, where the Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh spent his 70 days before he passed away there in 1890. You will recognize the church that inspired The Church at Auvers an oil painting created by van Gogh in June 1890 which now hangs in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. Frederic was a wonderful tour guide - charming, knowledgeable, and refreshingly fun! He was a great driver and I can not recommend this company enough. Had a lovely tour of Giverny and Auvers sur Oise with tour guide Frederic. Our guide spoke wonderful English and was extremely knowledgeable, interesting, and pleasant. I can not recommend this tour group enough!! They pick and drop you off at your apartment/hotel and are very accommodating. Best of France Tours offers a unique trip that will beat any other guided tour you’ve experienced! Merci à Frédéric pour une journée fantastique!

We scheduled a tour for Giverny and Auvers. It was fantastic! Frederic, our most informative tour guide was as delightful as can be. We had a day delay on our flight arrival so he picked us up at the airport so we would not miss our day tour. He accommodated us beautifully. We visited Auvers first, to the hotel where Van Gogh spent his last 70 days and passed. Took a drive out to the graveside of Vincent and his brother. So quiet and very special among wheat fields that inspired Van Gogh's painting. Since we lost a bit of time with arriving that morning, we didn't have time for a long, sit down lunch which was fine by us. Frederic had a bakery/deli that had the most delicious quiche, sandwiches and sweets that we thoroughly enjoyed. Then on over to Giverny that was just spectacular. I was worried going in the fall we would miss the flowers blooming. Wrong! Everything was in full bloom and absolutely gorgeous. Frederic let us take our time walking around the ponds and gardens and then into Monet's house. I've waited a long time for this and it did not disappoint. Frederic made it very special for us and I thank him so much. Would definitely recommend and use their services when in France. Merci Beaucoup Philippe and Frederic!
