The fact of the matter is that I did not go. I had booked this trip with Get Your Guide months before. I heard from Makuna their General Manager that the trip had to be cancelled by them. This was the day before and I had no time to book another trip, so I had a wasted day in Yerevan.
I was disappointed to say the least. I was even more disappointed when I had an email from Get Your Guide asking why I had cancelled the trip.
This was a complete lie and the company were just covering their own back with get Your Guide. I contacted Makuna who admitted that they had cancelled and we agreed a sum of £40 to compensate me for the upset they caused. To this end I sent her bank details with a view to receiving funds by this means.
Today I hear from Soso the CEO of the company asking if the £40 is in addition to the refund that i was entitled to. He seemed to have an issue with me calling what happened a lie. His terminology was a technical mistake. My terminology is being economical with the truth.
It was obvious that he didn't want to pay a reasonable amount in compensation. He wasted half my morning with the fact that he didn't like the tone of my correspondence rather than just paying the £40 and ending the matter. It ended with him getting really unprofessional and attacking me personally.
I would advise against using this company as I don't think they are trustworthy.
