About the tour
The tour starts at the Faxaflói bay. Here you will see the Humpback, the Minke Whale, White-beaked Dolphins and the Harbor Porpoise. You will spot all of these commonly during the tour. Also the many different birds such as the Gannet, the Arctic Tern and different kinds of Gull include the tour.
After the whale watching tour, it is time to explore the Whale Exhibition Center, where you come to know everything about the mysteries of the ocean. It is located in an old capelin-fishing vessel and it is now an information and exhibition center about whales and seabirds.
For whale watching participants, the entrance to the Whale Exhibition Room is free.

- Start time: daily at 9:00 am (Feb - Nov) and 1:00 PM
- Duration: approx. 3 hours
- In the rare event that no whales are spotted on your tour, you can have another whale watching tour for free
- Children with the age of 7 - 15 special price
- Children up to 7 years are free of charge
- Discount for children and youth valid for max 2 children/youths per each adult
- When you want to make use of the hotel transfer then please state your hotel in the remark field during the order process
- Please note: transfer only possible for major hotels and guest houses in Reykjavik
- If you booked within 48 hours of departure of the tour, you cannot use the hotel pick-up service and you are requested to come to the start point
- Start point: at the old harbour or at your hotel. Hotel pick-up starts 45 minutes before tour departure
