An afternoon stroll full of surprising historical tales in Edinburgh's most famous graveyard. Find out the meanings behind the imagery on some of the 17th Century tombs and visit the graves of some lesser-known yet fascinating characters including the lecturer who taught Charles Darwin, an actor buried in full theatrical costume, and a First World War ace pilot. We might, in passing, also point out the graves with possible links to a certain boy wizard and to a dedicated dog. This is an ever-evolving tour with new information provided to our guide every week from our resident genealogist. Please note this is NOT a Harry Potter tour!

From a very little village in Germany to Edinburgh. On Greyfriar Cemetery we found the silence and peace we are used to. Robin showed consideration for our no perfect English communication. The small group of four participants had made us easier to follow his guidance. At the end me and my son were really happy about this wonderfull guidance. Many thanks for Robin. You saved us from a dissapointing day.

This tour was fantastic! It was a small group so it was very personal. Our guide (and his cousin David) both provided their own stories that they’ve personally researched, so we learned bits that we wouldn’t have learned elsewhere. It was amazing! Thanks robin and cousin David - you both killed it!

From Ireland to Edinburgh we did travel For some Scottish history to unravel Greyfriar kirkyard was last on our list It took us a while to get the jist! At the Cadies and Witchery tours we met Robin And up candlewick row we went a bobbin We heard about ghosts and we heard about potter Saw sticks for the doggy, Met Mckensie the rotter! Cousin Dave however lended a hand to the tour For he was the greatest Sleuth thats for sure. We had an idea to build some sedans, Detective hats , cloaks and lanterns could too be in the plans So for now I will say some plans may be a foot Robin (and Dave) Go Raibh Maith Agat Thoroughly enjoyed the tour Melissa And Martina Co.Clare The Tuite Sleuths
