First, this is an ABSOLUTE MUST if you come to Phuket. Other details to know. We stayed near Karon Beach, so it’s about a 45 minute drive to the pier (comfortable air conditioned van). One we got to the pier we had about 10 minutes to get juice, coffee, toast, cookies, etc. Then about an hour boat ride where they served banana bread, coconut sticky rice and water/soda (actually really good). Our boat had a max of 16 passengers) and was plenty comfortable. Everyone was given their own dry bag too. I saw other larger boats PACKED with 50+ people. Our situation was much better. The kayaking through the limestone caves and through the islands was AMAZING. Also, they have someone Kayak for you so you can just relax and take it in/take photos & video. We also swam through a cave (due to high tide, very easy, no waves, life jacket included) where later tours kayaked through this cave. I debated whether I would have preferred kayaking but we kayaked plenty earlier so it was a nice change and again, had this entire spot to ourselves. As we left and the tide lowered I saw the big boats arriving hoarding people like cattle. Everyone kayaking themselves (no tour guide like ours). Lunch was excellent. Quaint little restaurant with tons of options on the beach. We then had an hour at a nice little beach. Bottom line, this experience is a must and I highly recommend this company in particular because the smaller group, avoids the crowds, and private guides kayaking for you. Good food and service. FYI, this is not a snorkeling trip. The water is a beautiful green but not clear. For that, do Phi Phi or Similan or Koh Rok/Koh Haa.
