Tagesausflug zum Mountainbiken in den Baga Khenty Bergen

This stopover destination became a highlight of our trip thanks to Samba with Mongolia Trekking. We booked easily online and the info was all accurate and helpful. Samba met us with a sign right at the train. Got us a good breakfast then he and the friendly driver took us out to the Genghis Khan Monument. Not only did they tune in to our comfort, prep, safety and skills; Samba is an amazing Ambassador for his country; full of knowledge as an educator, too! The excursion plan has a nice balance of sharing the area, history and culture without feeling rushed or that you are missing out on the ride aspect of the adventure. What an adventure we had! We were unprepared for the spectacular beauty or the thrilling interactions with herds on the steppe. Samba went above and beyond in all things and made sure that the ride he planned fit us and our travel profile, such a keen sense for that. He fine tuned my bike seat, took pics, shared great stories, even cleaned out my shoes after a bit of a mud foot bath (no extra charge!) was the cost of my one shortcut. What stood out was how capable Samba was at ensuring that every aspect of our visit turned out well, even helping us plan the following day with his local insights. The driver tailed us on the ride, managed lunch, water, gear then together they dropped us at the door of our (out of the way) Airbnb which we truly appreciated. You cannot go wrong with this quality outfitter and Samba, our new friend in Mongolia!

This quick stop-over turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip, even our lives! Samba ensures every detail is optimized. He is an expert ambassador for Mongolia. Super accommodating while strategic and flexible. Easy pick up, plus we would not have found our accommodations later without him and the kind driver. The Genghis Khan Monument/Museum is excellent, Samba is a natural educator. Loved the bikes, and support. He made our 36 mile trek possible, adjusting my seat for long term comfort, cleaning my shoes when the mud swallowed my feet and making sure the chase car was ready with water, snacks and lunch. Ich war vor kurzem auf Geschäftsreise nach Ulaanbaatar und hatte ein Wochenende, um die abgelegene Landschaft rund um die Stadt zu erkunden. Durch einen Freund kontaktierte ich Mongolei Trekking und nach einem Gespräch mit Batbayar schlug er ein paar Tagesausflüge vor. Eine zum Hustain National Park gefolgt von der Baga Khentiy Mountain Bike Day Tour. Mein Guide für den Tag in den Nationalpark war Otgo, die sehr gut informiert war und ihr Englisch sehr gut war. Wir reisten zum Besucherzentrum, wo wir etwas über das wilde Leben, Flora und Fauna lernten, und reisten dann in das Herz des Nationalparks. Wir entschieden uns für eine Stunde zu wandern, abseits der Wanderwege, wo wir einen Blick auf die wilden Prezewalski-Pferde, Rotwild, Murmeltiere und Steinadler werfen konnten. Es war ein heißer Tag, so viel Wasser und feste Schuhe waren ein Muss. Sie können eine gute Kamera mit einer Art Teleskoplinse benötigen, um tolle Bilder von der Tierwelt zu schießen. Am nächsten Tag fuhr ich mit meinem Guide Nara zu einer Mountainbike-Tour. Wie die Tournotizen sagten, starteten wir an der Chinggis Khan Statue und fuhren in die Täler. Innerhalb von 8 km waren wir in abgelegenen Gebieten, nur von Schafen, Ziegen, Yaks-Rindern, vereinzelten Hirten und einigen Nomaden umgeben. Wir hatten ein Picknick in der Nähe einer kleinen Quelle, wo junge Rinder etwas tranken, bevor wir uns auf eine sanftere Fahrt durch den Talboden machten. Die Guides hatten viel Wasser für uns und wir hatten Glück, denn auf einer 48 km langen Fahrt brauchten wir etwas Flüssigkeit. Die Organisation war ausgezeichnet, ich wurde abgeholt und im Hotel abgesetzt, die Guides kenntnisreich, Mountainbike war von guter Qualität und die Gastfreundschaft großartig. Würde Batbayar und die Firma sicherlich wieder benutzen.
