It's a fantastic thing to get to see the Island from above and is a not to be missed trip. What you need to know is that there are six seats on the helicopter and they are assigned randomly (possibly on weight distribution), there are two in the front with the pilot and four in the back. If you end up in the middle two seats in the back, like I did your view is severely limited. You can see little out the front and the pilot will say below is the 'whatever' but you cannot see it, on the left side is 'this or that' you cannot see it. Once or twice the helicopter did a turn so you could see things but you have the lean over your fellow window seat passenger to see anything, we did this once to see Waipio valley but the helicopter did not go far enough back for us to see much.
We all paid the same on those in the front got a real 'front row seat' experience whilst those in the middle in the back did not get what we paid for.
