Tour zu den Pyramiden von Gizeh und zum Ägyptischen Museum

Amazing trip! Loved my guides Sayed Selim and the rest of the crew at Memphis Tours…all were very knowledgeable, anccomodating and friendly.

Die Tour ging über zwei Tage, am ersten Tag zu den Pyramiden von Gizeh und Sakkara und am zweiten Tag zuerst zum Ägyptischen Museum und am Nachmittag zum neuen Großen Ägyptischen Museum. Mittags war jeweils ein Mittagessen eingeplant, das in sehr guten Restaurants war. Am ersten Tag mit Blick von der Dachterasse des Restaurants auf die großen Pyramiden von Gizeh. Der Fahrer für die zwei Tage führte sein Fahrzeug und die Mitfahrer sicher durch den für uns chaotischen Verkehr der Riesenmetropole Kairo. Der Reiseführer war in der Archäologie und Geschichte Ägyptens äußerst bewandernd, sprach sehr gut deutsch und konnte auch auf allgemeine Fragen zum Leben der Menschen in Ägypten heute antworten. In den zwei Tagen war noch eine Bootsfahrt mit Segelschiff auf dem Nil (auf dem Nil war es ruhig im Vergleich zum geschäftigen Kairo), Besuche in einem Geschäft für Textilien, einer Teppichküpferei und einem Geschäft, das Bilder auf Papyrus anbot. Die Unterbringung war zentral nicht weit vom Tahrir-Platz im Steigenberger Hotel, das innen drin ruhig war und den Lärm der Stadt abschirmte.

Menphis Tours, what a great company, and what fantastic employees. We had a 3 day private tour of Cairo. Our experience started at the airport where our tour leader Omar was patiently waiting for us(even after 2 delays by the airline) as soon as we arrived he started organising everything for us, including getting us local sims for our phones so we could use them in Egypt with no costs, he was so very helpful and thoughtful of our needs. He then collected our bags and we were off to our waiting car where we met our very skilled driver Arnob, aka Bunny(and if you've seen the way they drive in Cairo, you'll really appreciate a skilled driver driving you around) what a great person, so well spoken and a genuinely humble man, he always had cold drinks waiting for us in the car, and we enjoyed our times in the car with him. The next day we met our tour guide Mo Salah, aka Mohamed, honestly, my wife and I cannot say enough good things about this man. What an absolutely great guy, a fantastic tour guide that was very knowledgeable about all things Egyptian, but above all that, he couldn't do enough for us, he gave us so much more than we expected, and nothing was a problem for him, he made our Cairo experience so easy and enjoyable that we regard him as a friend now. Honestly, if you're thinking of a Cairo tour/experience, you won't go wrong with Menphis Tours, and if you ask for the 3 men I've mentioned, I can guarantee that it will be a holiday you'll never forget, and you'll be planning your next one there, just as we're doing now. If I could give them 6 stars I would, they made our holiday experience even better than we imagined, and we're looking forward to seeing them again in the near future hopefully????
