When we arrived at the airport, we were met by “our man in Cairo” - Abdelrahman. I was very pleased to see our name on a placard as to be honest, I was a little sceptical as we hadn’t paid for the holiday in full at that point. He took us through immigration, helped us change our English money to Egyptian pounds. Transfer to Movenpick (separate review) Early start next morning after a tasty breakfast to visit Giza and the Egyptian Museum. Our guide was Ramy. What a lovely guy. So informative, polite and patient. (We travelled with my Mum, 84) Pyramids and Sphinx were a sight to see, we took some great photos from way off locations, very cool. The Museum was wonderful. All of Tutankhamun’s golden masks and coffins were there. Photos not allowed of course. Great door to door service in A/C vehicles. We didn’t wait around for anyone, we has our very own private tour for us 3. Lunchtime provided. Back to the Movenpick for another night before our domestic flight to Aswan to continue our Egyptian experience with Memphis Tours. Off to Abu Simbel and a Nile Cruise.

The guide Amal was very good, we did a spectacular ride, a very prepared person, very kind and helpful. He explained the history of ancient and modern Egypt impeccably. Highly recommended.
