Koh Samui Custom Sightseeing Tour mit privatem Guide

Really enjoyed our 6 hour private tour with Noon. There were 4 of us - husband and I with our two teenage boys. One of the boys doesn’t enjoy the heat so I’d asked for a 4x4 tour to some cooler locations (such as up in the mountains) but Noon kindly turned up in an air conditioned 4x4 so we could access all the mountain sites but also benefit from the AC. It was very thoughtful of him and meant the whole family really enjoyed the day out. Noon asked us what we wanted to see and made some suggestions and then planned out the day. We started with the Big Buddha temples and then headed up into the mountains. It was a few degrees cooler up there and very pleasant and breezy. We stopped at some viewpoints and it was on these stops that we saw huge jackfruits growing in trees, an enormous golden orb spider, coconut and fruit farms and the sap running from rubber trees. Noon also talked to us about life for people on Kon Samui. We had a good and cheap lunch at a mountain restaurant (which had a small pool) and then went to the temple at the highest point of the island. Climbing up to the top we were able to see around all of the island. The roads (and sometimes just dirt tracks) were extremely steep and Noon negotiated them all brilliantly. We then descended to the secret garden which was cool and tranquil. The fish in the river nibbled at our hands and the boys climbed all over the rocks. We then went to see the mummified monk (a most peculiar visit!) and finally onto Crystal bay for some snorkelling. My favourite event was driving along behind a truck load of coconuts, with two macaque monkeys (trained to pick the coconuts) sitting on top. Would highly recommend this tour. For me the beauty is having all the insights into what Koh Sami is like beyond the tourist strip of restaurants and shops. I loved seeing all the unusual animals and plants. This was excellent from start to finish. A 5 star tour! Yankky, our guide picked us up from our hotel and led us on an amazing adventure around Koh Samui. We discussed with him what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go and that’s what we did, happily led by him. He was knowledgeable, interesting, friendly and funny. We went in a 4x4 which was so much fun. We all got to ride on top of the jeep which was great fun, driving through the jungle! Plenty of drinks and snacks provided throughout the day. First two stops were at temples, the first a more touristy one (Big Buddha)whilst the second one had a totally different atmosphere and was definitely more of a temple used for cremations, burials and worship. Yankky provided us with lots of interesting details and information whilst also giving us plenty of time to independently explore. Feeding the cat fish was fun too! From here we went in to the jungle which was an amazing experience. We stopped by at an amazing viewpoint/temple where once again we had the opportunity to explore and hear interesting information. The Tarnim & Magic Garden was the next stop which was tranquil and so interesting. Once again, Yankky gave us background information on how this place came to be. From here we went to see the Mummified Monk, another highlight where we saw the monk and all had a turn on the gong, helped by Yankky and expertly demonstrated by him too! From here we went to one of the waterfalls, they hadn’t much rain recently so there wasn’t much water but it didn’t matter! We still had a swim which was very welcome in the cool water. From here, we went on to see Grandfather and Grandmother rock and where Yankky introduced us all to coconut ice-cream straight out of the husk. This day trip was an absolute highlight for us and our three teenage girls. It was such fun and allowed us to see a lot of Koh Samui in a relatively short space of time, led by an excellent guide! He took loads of photos for us which he sent to us later and even included a video highlights! Would 100% recommend! It was non-stop fun from start to finish!!! Riding on the back of the jeep was great fun too-who needs ac?!!!

A perfect tour with a perfect guide! We had a wonderful day filled with a rich array of cultural experiences. From the temples, beautiful scenery, to experiencing a local monkey retreat coconuts for us, it was a wonderful day start to finish.
