Outstanding experience, must do sightseeing in Egypt.
Shout out to an amazing tour guide AHMED from ANDREEA and MARIAN You sir ,with your over 30 year experience are one of the best guides I ever seen, and after our poor experience with another guide at Luxor, we were a bit skeptical.
Trip starts early in the morning ,where you get picked from your hotel,to go to airport . We got picked from Jaz Saraya Resort in Makadi at about 2.30 in the morning, and then the Van goes to pick the other guest from various hotels in the area.
Flight was swift and on time ,lasts about 1h. We arrived at 6 in the morning in Cairo where we got into the Van with Ahmed ,who explained everything that was to happen that day. On the road to pyramids, a short stop is made for toilets if you need or a cofee. We got the chance to have a coffe with an amazing view ????. Then you get to see the last remaining wonder of the ancient world, you get very good explanations about the area, great opportunity for photography, and if you are lucky to have Ahmed as your guide ,he will make amazing photo for you. Then you get to walk around to experience the surroundings, and if you like the tour will guide you to a trip with camels(extra cost) or carriage, where you get an authentic vibe of how life probably was for the bedouin and pilgrims arriving in the town . Very nice scenery, very nice photo, plenty of time to see and experience the entire Giza plateau.
After like 5 hours at the pyramids and Sphinx, we were taken to a short stop to a perfume house right next door to the pyramids, where you can decide if you want to buy something or not. At no point you are pressed into buying something, you are just explained how the business works ,and other great info. It is part of the tour ,the shop name was khan-al kaleik I think. Then you are on your way for a lunch at a nearby restaurant, they had very nice bbq meat. After that it was the museum where you get to see the gold Mask of King Tut and the pure gold sarcophagus. What an amazing historical period they had. Ahmed was explaining all the way ,so you are not let just to watch for yourself.
After the museum, there is an optional extra cost Nile Cruise where you could see parts of the City at night from the river. Ahmed was on top again ,taking pictures and making sure we are enjoying the experience. Then you are taken back to the airport safely.
Points to take into consideration:
●When you book, the price for it does not show all taxes, additional cost or admission fee so keep that in mind(our costs was 340£ for 2 with all taxes and admission fees, plus 20 for camel ride and 20 for Nile Cruise, and ~5 for drinks at the restaurant)
●I highly suggest to ask them for your tour guide to be Ahmed, trust me ,a good experienced guide who has great organisational skills is worth it over a bad one like we had on our trip to Luxor, from the same company and it makes your trip worth it or ruins it.
●Very good communication from the company via WhatsApp with all the questions taken into consideration and explained in order for you to have a great day.
●security and safety all over Egypt, we felt quite good about it.
●???? for the long reading
