Fogo Island is fascinating. In addition to its volcano, it has contrasting natural landscapes and unique natural places. This circuit, rich in natural curiosities and historical stories, makes you discover the city of São Filipe as well as the western side of the island. Stroll through the streets of one of the oldest cities in the country. The past is told there today through the architecture of the city and its “Sobrados”. Then recharge your batteries in Salinas, this natural pool formed by the meeting of the sea and the lava flows. You will also taste a typical drink of the country: the punch of "Calabaceira", the fruit of the baobab. IMPORTANT: Minimum of participants: 2 people

The island of Fogo has a stunning beauty, just like its neighbor Brava. A welcoming and dynamic people who love their island. Fantastic experience climbing the volcano. Definitely a repeat visit.

Der Ausflug hat ein Ausschnitt von Fogo gezeigt. Die Verständigung war teilweise schwierig, weil unser Reiseleiter nicht sehr gut englisch gesprochen hat. Die Salinas waren beeindruckend, weil das Meer sehr bewegt war. Schwimmen wäre lebensgefährlich gewesen. Die Abstimmung für den Treffpunkt war schwierig, weil die Agentur nicht direkt auf meine Mails reagiert hat und man bei der Buchung das eigene Hotel nicht angeben konnte. Ich musste dann beim Verantstalter persönlich vorbei gehen.

Als ich mich 2019 mehrere Monate auf Fogo Insel aufenthielt, habe ich an diesem Ausflug teilgenommen. Was auffällig war, ist wie genau die Architektur die Geschichte des Lands spiegelt. Diese Vulkaninsel hat tatsächlich viel Interessantes zu zeigen: einzigartige Landschaft aufgrund des Treffens zwischen Lava und Meer. Der Reiseführer wird es besser als ich erzählen! Zuletzt ist Salinas echt beeindruckend und erholsam.
