Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance (time permitted and seasonal option) to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. CANYON DE CHELLY NATIONAL MONUMENT (including the entire Navajo Nation) OBSERVES DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME. All departure for tours will be on Mountain Daylight-Savings Time, which is one hour ahead of the rest of Arizona (from March 10-November 3, 2019). *Please plan accordingly, tours may be shortened or forfeit if group/individual is not on time.

  • Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Chinle, Arizona, United States
    Our guided 4x4 tours into Canyon De Chelly National Monument will be lead by experienced and seasoned guides. On your trip, you will visit many archeological sites that include cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Pueblo, rock art panels (both pictograph and petroglyphs) from all past and present inhabitants of Canyon De Chelly, and other historical sites. There will also be many stops for photographic opportunities, restroom stop, and a chance to purchase artwork from local Native artists. Possible stops include visiting a working farm and/or weaving demonstration, only if resident is at their canyon home.

Bennie Teller was our guide/driver on this 4 hour jeep tour. As we drove up the canyon, he explained the rich and sometimes violent history of Canyon De Chelly’s many inhabitants and invaders. And he pointed out and explained the cliff dwellings, pictographs, and petroglyphs. But best of all were his stories of growing up on his family’s land inside the canyon. He made the canyon come alive.

The tour was fabulous. Our guide had a great many details about life in the canyon, then and now. His vehicle was very modern and comfortable and he was easy to hear (my wife and I both wear hearing aids.). No worries with him. He told us the history of his company as well as references to his ancestors who had lived in the canyon. We have both been interested in how land is owned, leased, and "assigned" and he gave the best description that I've heard. He and I had read several of the same books that reference Dine' history which added to the dialogue. All in all, it was wonderful and we'll certainly urge other visitors to use Beauty Way Tours.

I can’t recommend Beauty Way Tours highly enough. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable, sharing deep insights into the history, culture, and natural beauty of the canyon in a way that made everything come alive. Along the way, we saw stunning cliff dwellings, amazing petroglyphs, and even wild horses roaming freely. This tour is a perfect way to experience the magic of Canyon de Chelly.
