Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance (time permitted and seasonal option) to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. CANYON DE CHELLY NATIONAL MONUMENT (including the entire Navajo Nation) OBSERVES DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME. All departure for tours will be on Mountain Daylight-Savings Time, which is one hour ahead of the rest of Arizona (from March 10-November 3, 2019). *Please plan accordingly, tours may be shortened or forfeit if group/individual is not on time.

  • Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Chinle, Arizona, United States
    Our guided 4x4 tours into Canyon De Chelly National Monument will be lead by experienced and seasoned guides. On your trip, you will visit many archeological sites that include cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Pueblo, rock art panels (both pictograph and petroglyphs) from all past and present inhabitants of Canyon De Chelly, and other historical sites. There will also be many stops for photographic opportunities, restroom stop, and a chance to purchase artwork from local Native artists. Possible stops include visiting a working farm and/or weaving demonstration, only if resident is at their canyon home.

Great tour, expertly guided by Daniel Staley. He is outstanding and this was our second tour with him. This time he took us to Canyon del Muerto (the northern arm of Canyon de Chelly.) He is extremely knowledgeable and, perhaps more importantly, is responsive to the customers’ interests. He can tell you about history, customs, ecology, etc., but finds out what you want to know and focuses on that. If you want to see rock art (we did), he will take you to the best spots. If not, he won’t bore you. I recommend, without reservation, this tour group and Mr. Staley in particular.

We actually opted for the 4-hour tour that left at 1:00 PM. The enclosed jeep provided warmth from the wind and cold air (sunny day, temp 54 degrees). An experienced Navajo guide, Lee, was exactly on time for the start of the exploration, provided tremendous value in his descriptions of the Canyon’s geology, history and culture(s), and then shared anecdotes of his own family and Navajo life today. Our guide—-the whole experience—exceeded our expectations and was the concluding highlight of our Arizona visit. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to travel with Beauty Way Jeep Tours.

Leander and his crew Viola and Aiola were amazing hosts. They took our family thru the beautiful Canyon de Chelly, stopping along the major viewpoints, explaining the history and helping us really understand the living conditions in the canyon. They helped us make the most of our trip by pointing out what I would’ve normally missed. It is truly a beautiful place to be and I will surely return for a more in depth tour. I have to mention the Jeeps. They are top notch custom made (lifted) for the canyon. Apparently, Leander puts quite a lot into building and maintaining them. In some spots in the canyon, I wouldn’t have thought we would make it through but the Jeeps made it thru so smoothly that it was amazing. Kudos to Leander and his team.
