Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance (time permitted and seasonal option) to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. CANYON DE CHELLY NATIONAL MONUMENT (including the entire Navajo Nation) OBSERVES DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME. All departure for tours will be on Mountain Daylight-Savings Time, which is one hour ahead of the rest of Arizona (from March 10-November 3, 2019). *Please plan accordingly, tours may be shortened or forfeit if group/individual is not on time.

  • Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Chinle, Arizona, United States
    Our guided 4x4 tours into Canyon De Chelly National Monument will be lead by experienced and seasoned guides. On your trip, you will visit many archeological sites that include cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Pueblo, rock art panels (both pictograph and petroglyphs) from all past and present inhabitants of Canyon De Chelly, and other historical sites. There will also be many stops for photographic opportunities, restroom stop, and a chance to purchase artwork from local Native artists. Possible stops include visiting a working farm and/or weaving demonstration, only if resident is at their canyon home.

We took our first tour from Leander back in 2017. Since then, I have referred multiple friends to his tours. Today, my family did a 3 hour tour with Viola and Jarvin. Both guides were fantastic, with so much knowledge and personal history of the canyon. I cannot recommend Beauty Way enough. We will definitely be back. Next time we plan to take a full day, 6-8 hour tour with some hiking. Love this place and love this tour company. ♥️

We had asked for a female guide and we were lucky enough to be assigned to Silvia, a Navajo woman who has been guiding in the canyon for over 30 years. She was brilliant! Part cultural and historical anthropologist, part geologist, an amazingly knowledgeable storyteller, great-grandmother of 6, and a heck of a 4x4 Jeep driver! We were immersed in the canyon and its history and its beauty for 3 full hours. What an amazing experience.

Our guide Leander was great. He had so much knowledge about the history and culture of Canyon de Chelly, the Navajo Nation and the region. It is a family business and it was fun to see his dad also out guiding. Great local perspective. Being inside the canyon was so beautiful! One of the best travel experiences ever.
