Discover the Northeast as a Madeiran, meet the local villages, some of them where they "stopped in time" with their own tiny shops / coffee's, water mill, traditional houses with thatched roof, rum factory, and off road experience taking you to amazing viewpoints. This tour taked nearly 8-hours, having a great time with our multilanguage guide, learning about the locations that you will pass, fauna, flora, history, culture, gastronomy, etc. This experience / tour will be in a open top 4x4 vehicle, taking you thru the native forest, passing at the old roads, farmers & off road tracks. Great landscapes, sea cliffs, valleys of incredibly beauty that are supported by old terraces hand built centuries ago, built on the foundation of love, sweat and tears. Travel through the trails, from the east to the south of the North to the west of Madeira. With an exceptional attendant, who uses languages perfectly (and even with animals????) I highly recommend this outing, do not hesitate to ask Lino, he will guide you with his beautiful 4x4.

Fantastic trip with our guide Jose whose love for his island shone through. He explained the history of the island and was a great guide to the plant life. Taking us up roads that would be tracks anywhere else we had an exhilarating ride through to the top of the mountains above the clouds before dropping into Funal and seeing centuries old trees. Then went to port Funiz for a 3 course lunch with wine for just €18 per head with a chance to swim before going to a further swimming area. If you get the chance do swim it was wonderful. Arrived back at the hotel after a fantastic 8 hours trip. Would recommend this northwest trip totally and Jose was superb. Thanks again for the highlight of our holiday.

Had an amazing day with Miguel (tattoo) on the full day east tour. He gives a lot of information and gives a fun twist on everything. The tour was everything we expected and more! He made sure we have seen everything, and we had so much fun (he is a funny guy). Overall an amazing experience and would totally book it again!!
