    Bran Castle is probably the most famous castle in Romania. The document first attesting its existence dates back in 1377. The castle became a favorite place for Queen Maria, who put her mark on the interior’s renovation, and it was later seized by communists in 1948 along with royals’ expulsion from Romania. For Bran Castle, being most associated with the myth of Dracula’s Castle - linked to the Bram Stoker’s novel, made it famous all over the world. After the guided tour of the castle, you will surely enjoy some little souvenirs’ shopping.

  • During official holidays and weekends the traffic to the mountains area might be busier than usual, so the return could be later than scheduled (around 8 pm)

Like the other reviews we had an amazing well organized tour with Mihai. We finished a river cruise which ended in Bucharist before Mihai picked up us at our hotel and hit the road. Along the way he was able to fill us in on Romanian history and he pointed out interesting landmarks. We traveled together for 5 days in Transylvania seeing the beautiful castles, various churches and citadels. We even visited the King Charles III property. At all times Mihai was curtious and thoughtful. He would help with luggage and use his phone flashlight in dark stairways for a safer climb up the narrow passage. When visiting a place he would get the tickets (asking if we wanted just the entrance fee or maybe an additiona tourist addition). He is an excellent driver and a knowledgeable guide. We are so glad we used ITRAVEL IN ROMANIA and that Mahai shared his love of Romania with us. I doubt if we could have managed the driving ourselves (old cities with old neighborhoods). We stayed in lovely well situated hotels and found interesting places for meals. I think we would have seen less and paid more if we attempted this trip ourselves.

A fantastic tour with 4 friends, and Mihai was our best guide! The route was well planned. During the 3-day trip, we went to Peles Castle, Brasov, the fortified church and Bran Castle. We also visited a Roma village and had tasty Romanian cuisine. Mihai is professional and knowledgeable. A very enjoyable trip and definitely recommend to everyone!

We hired Mihai for 6 days for Bucharest and Transylvania. He was wonderful. We saw everything we wanted to see and some other things he suggested. His English is perfect. He was prompt for each pickup and he was even able to book some hotels for us. He rented a Mercedes minivan for us. We were two couples seeing Romania for vacation. He is extremely knowledgeable about the country. I would recommend him without reservation for anyone planning to visit Romania.
