Fantastic experience! Our tour guide, Vanessa, told us all the extremely unique history of L’Aquila. She has such a great sense of humor and made each story fun and exciting to hear. She also personalized the tour based on our interests and needs. Her recommendations and the things included were absolutely the best of L’Aquila. My mother who needs assistance walking felt comfortable with the walking level and Vanessa was very attentive to her. I’d recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in L’Aquila and Abruzzo in general!

Vanessa was an excellent guides recounting fascinating history stories of L’Aquila introducing us to the hermit pope and the knights Templar. Both the linked Bascilicas were well worth seeing. While walking speed was at the pace of the guest the walk up the steep hill in the town is not for anyone with challenges tackling hills due to mobility or fitness issues.
