Get inspired by the hidden figures on this Amsterdam storytelling tour!
Meet the women who changed Amsterdam - and the world! Too many tours reduce female Amsterdammers to working women and Dutch feminists when there’s actually a huge variety in Amsterdam women’s history. Women have done everything from changing society at the highest levels to influencing culture to defying earthly and spiritual powers.
This small-group walking tour through Amsterdam’s historic center reveals the way women across the centuries pursued their goals in the face of societal and structural resistance. Led by a trained storyteller, this tour is engaging as well as inspiring. You’ll come away with a sense of Amsterdam’s rich history and culture, as well as some hidden stories.
Let them energize and empower you as you see the city from a different angle.

I'm so glad I booked this tour on my first day in Amsterdam! I joined the tour with my husband Alessandro and was a very interesting visit for both of us! Elyzabeth proved to be very knowledgeable both on History of women and on History of art, Social studies and on European History in general. (ok, it wasn't an exam that's clear, but wow: she rocks! ????) This allowed for a very valuable exchange of information and points of view, which for me will mean being able to explore many topics that I did not know. Moreover, I'm Italian and my level of English is good in comprehension, but less so in production, however thanks to Elyzabeth I felt very comfortable and we were also able to talk a little about the city I come from. I think Badass tours are also perfect for a first visit to the city, because the main highlights are shown during the thematic route. I recommend them in general both to those who know little about the history of women, and to those who are used to using content of this kind, simply because these stories are sometimes difficult to reconstruct even for one's country of origin, even more if one it is a foreign country. So a big THANK YOU to Elyzabeth and Badass Tours!!
