Plaza De Los Pioneros, El Calafate, Argentina We start the tour at 6:00 p.m. at the Carreta de la Plaza Pioneros. (The tour is done on foot)
There we give them an empanada and taste the first strain of a Patagonian wine, while we tell them about the origins of El Calafate. 15 minutes
Primera Vivienda de El Calafate, El Calafate, Argentina We advance on the route to the bridge over the stream and along Libertador Avenue to Perito Moreno Square to talk about the beginnings of the Parish, Municipality, etc.
Then, in the first house in town, we tasted a second strain. 20 minutes
Av. del Libertador 1315, El Calafate, Santa Cruz, Argentina We continue along the main avenue until the Pasaje Soto. In the previous walk we are talking about the growth of the town. Once in the passage, we tell them who Soto was and we explain the Huelgas del XXI while we taste a third wine.
Then we cross to the National Parks Administration where we explain the role and importance of National Parks for the growth of the town. 25 minutes

Here you will taste the latest strain of wine accompanied by an alfajor with sweet calafate. 20 minutes

Guide sympa et découverte de 4 vins de Patagonie ( mais bien plus au nord que dans ce village...) en plus de l'histoire de cette petite commune. La visite se fait a pied, en marchand avec son verre, Pas d'arrêt dans un des nombreux bars de la rue principale! La quantité de vin servi et chétive: nous étions sept touristes et à chaque fois il restait plus du tiers de la bouteille. Les vins sont bons mais pas extraordinaires. Le tour annoncé pour 2 heures, se termine au bout de 75 mn. Bref c'est cher pour cette maigre prestation!

Tour original y enriquecedor, caminando la ciudad al son de la historia de su origen, que luego sirven para entender ciertos rincones, frutales "silvestres" o la oferta de recuerdos de lana. Excelente la guía de Pity, muy preparada y con un trato amable y entretenido, hizo que las horas pasaran volando. Párrafo aparte para los vinos patagónicos con alguna cosita para picar; puede parecer extraño ir por la calle con una copa en la mano, pero luego del merlot eso deja de tener importancia.
En resumen, el wine tour es una experiencia muy recomendable.
