Such an incredible experience! We learned so much about Oaxacan culture through its incredible food. We've never eaten so much on a food tour before! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, and the tour struck the perfect balance between walking, listening, eating, and drinking. We would 100% recommend it—this is an absolute must-do if you're visiting Oaxaca.

We have long been looking forward to visit Mexico’s food-Mecca Oaxaca and try the best of local food, therefore we booked this tour in good time via Viator, knowing that the best steetfood can only be experienced with someone who knows the local food. I received several reminders from Viator about the tour when the time approached - the latest was the day before our reservation, which raised our expectations even more. However, when we waited on schedule at the appointed meeting point, there was no sign of any guide. We called the tour provider Me Encanta Oaxaca, and got a very confused employee in the phone. At the beginning he said that they did not get our reservation. Then after some time’s searching he obviously found our reservation anyway but told us the guide was out of town and therefore was not available that day. Further more, they were not able to provide any alternative guide the same day. We expressed our disappointment since that was the only day we could go on this tour and were leaving Oaxaca in two days. The guy in the phone could do nothing but apologise. Later same day they would explain in a text message that the guide was involved in a traffic accident and would stay at the emergency at hospital the rest of the day. What can I say? We had to chose to believe them and could only wish the poor guide good luck. But I wish we had received a notice as soon as they found out that they wouldn’ t be able to fulfil the tour. It was probably very bad luck and a huge disappointment for us.

We had an amazing tour guide who was very knowledgeable ,we ate so much food, variety of drinks, fruit, meats and authentic food.
