How unlike the Pope's Palace in Avignon is compared to the one in Rome and that there were two Pope's at the same time!

The tour of the town and the pope's palace was not particularly memorable. The palace is a structure from which all of the interior detail has been stripped. Not uninteresting, but hardly the highlight of my stay in Provence. The guide was OK, but I found myself drifting away because he was hard to understand the hard to hear. The whole tour fit into the category of "doubt that I would have missed much if I had not taken the tour". One advantage is that we did not have to wait in line for tickets!

Palazzo dei Papi meraviglioso, percorso chiaro e preciso e originale l’idea di assegnare il tablet come audioguida! Peccato che il mio si era scaricato. Il ponte è bello e la visuale è magnifica: consigliato!
