Kemudian pada tahun 1960 berpindah ke Denpasar. Provinsi Bali terdiri dari Pulau Bali dan pulau-pulau kecil di sekitarnya antara lain Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan, dan Pulau Serangan. Secara keseluruhan Bali memiliki sekitar 85 pulau, termasuk yang tidak berpenghuni.

My wife and I really enjoyed our tour of Yade’s village. Our morning started with hot coffee and a nice conversation about Balinese and Indonesia culture and language. As we made our to his family house through farms/the jungle and rice fields Yade identified many of the plants, we sampled local fruit and he told us a lot about Balinese history. We happen to run into a couple of men who were working on their farms that day and they were kind enough to cut down a few young coconut for us so that we could try their juice and jelly. Yande even bought me snacks from the village store, which I really appreciate as a pregnant woman. We ate lunch at a local restaurant that was set sunken into a valley with beautiful views of rice terraces.
