Guide Peeraphat had a great command of English and was very knowledgeable. Changed things around to suit our needs. Elephant experience was awesome. Though this trip does involve a lot of driving still worth it.

We had a great day, we loved swimming at the waterfall and washing the elephants was great fun. Our guide Peter was a lot of fun and kept us entertained throughout the day. Note there is a lot a driving on this excursion, I suggest you bring a book.

We enjoyed this excursion. We were picked up at our hotel on time and had a very helpful guide. There is a lot of driving, as the park, elephants and River Kwai are a good three hours from Bangkok. The drive is more than worth it, if just to get out of the heat of the city. For Erawan Park, we wore tennis shoes and wished we’d worn our Teva sandals. The path to the first four falls are very good and the water is delightfully cool. Shoes were not at all comfortable after the first swim as it’s difficult to get feet dry and much sand found its way into and onto our feet. Unless you are in pretty good shape, four falls is about all there is time for-we made it to the fifth and had to hurry a bit to meet our guide. The elephant sanctuary is the greatest part of this excursion. Be ready to get wet, tie hair back and skip hats and sunglasses! The sanctuary gives you clothes to wear in the river and a primitive shower to clean up after. The elephants that live here are treated very well and it’s obvious they have a trusting relationship with the handlers. To actually feed, bath and play with these animals is just about the coolest thing you will ever do!
