    The day will start early as we want to enjoy the best tour of the Sanctuary and see bears having their breakfast. The visit will take approx. 1 hour and you can take as many pictures as you want with your mobile phone. During the tour, you will hear the happy ending story of many bears who were rescued from unimaginable conditions they had to endure for years.

  • Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle), Bran, Romania
    Second on our list is the famous Dracula's Castle. It was built in the 13th century by the Teutonic Knights and then strengthened by the Saxons in the following century. The fortress was overseeing the border between Wallachia and Transylvania during the entire medieval period. After the Great Union, in 1918, the fortress was offered as a gift to Queen Mary and remained in the property of the Romanian Royal Family ever since.

  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Please note that the Bear Sanctuary visit takes approx. 1h, involving hill climbing on dirt road.
  • Comfortable shoes (trekking sneakers or boots) and mountain clothes are recommended.
  • Visiting Bran Castle requires a slope climbing and several floor.

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Great day! Our guide, Daniel, was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. The bear sanctuary was a unique and fun experience. It was a treat to see the bears in their surroundings and hear their stories. We proceeded to Bran Castle where Daniel gave us a tour of the iconic castle. We then went to Braşov, enjoyed lunch after a short tour and visit to the Black Church. Great day! Daniel was a fantastic guide..he was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and was more than willing to answer my questions. Thanks Daniel for a great day!

What an educational day! Daniel was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide as he drove us to the Bear Sanctuary, Dracula's Castle, and Brasov. My friend and I were a bit surprised at the cold, snowy weather as we arrived at the Bear Sanctuary for our tour. It was a little chilly, but the experience was one of my favorites in Romania - watching the bears and other wildlife here and learning about their stories. Daniel was very knowledgeable about the local areas and easily answered our questions about Romania as well. We also had a wonderful time exploring Dracula's castle and Brasov with Daniel as an informative guide. He took us to a quaint corner restaurant as well with excellent food. On our way back to Bucharest, we were also able to make an impromptu stop at the filming location of Wednesday's castle as well. We had a very memorable and enjoyable day with Daniel as a safe driver and informative guide.

Highly recommend this tour as it included a lot of places we wanted to visit in the short time we had available. The bear sanctuary experience was great - we were there when the bears were being fed so lots of photo opportunities. The tour of Draculas ( Bran) Castle debunked a lot of the legend from historical fact but I am still happy to say I visited the castle. Stopped in Brasov for time to wander around and have coffee. Lovely clean town and well worth the visit.
