    The Church is considered the masterpiece of the architectural complex of Pampulha. The famous architect Oscar Niemeyer was responsible for this piece that was considered, at some point, too scandalous by the local catholic church that di not celebrate a mass in there for 14 years.

    The building was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer to be a casino. Later, it was adapted to host the Art Museum. The Pampulha Art Museum has a collection of over 1.400 pieces of art and it is famous for offering experiences that show a unique dialogue with its architecture and its landscape.

    The most traditional Football Stadium in Minas Gerais, the Mineirão is home of the Cruzeiro Team. It served as a venue in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It also hosted some matches of the football tournament of the 2016 Summer Olympics.

This trip is not as advertised - beware! It’s barely 2 hours (not 4) and the museum isn’t even open. Being able to visit the church depends on the schedule of worship services and is not communicated clearly by the tour company. Even though it says the tour starts at 9am, depending on where (hotel) you have them pick you up, will determine the time and may not be communicated to you unless you ask. The lady giving the tour was nice and informative but it’s definitely not worth the $50 they charge.

Bella iglesia por su arquitectura y diseño, al lado de un hermoso y parque vale la pena visitar, muy agradable para salir de la enorme ciudad y relajarse un poco
