This interactive virtual experience introduces you to two of Berlin’s most beautiful squares and the area around Unter den Linden – the German capital’s iconic central boulevard. From Museum Island, the city’s cultural heart, your professional, local guide will walk you down Unter den Linden and then through Bebelplatz and Gendarmenmarkt. This is a live virtual tour from the streets of Berlin– our professional local tour guide will meet you virtually via the Zoom app and take you on a private tour where you can ask any questions you like. The entire tour is interactive and we will be showing you relevant historical photos and videos as well to enhance the experience. The video calling software used for the tour is called Zoom. You will need to have it downloaded on your laptop, tablet or cellphone – with a connection to speakers or headphones – in order to participate in the tour. Our tour guide was Tobi. He walked through the checkpoints while explaining us the historical background of every place, showing the attraction with the camera and also sharing personal experiences and stories of every place. Asking questions was always possible, it felt more like a dialog than a monologue/lecture, we had the feeling of being right next to Tobi and experiencing Berlin in real life. Tobi showed us places that weren't even on the schedule, he made it very easy to just listen to him but also to talk to him. We will likely do such a tour soon again and can only recommend it to everyone, worth every penny!
