We pick you up from your hotel/hostel/Airbnb in Cusco. IMPORTANT: You can decide whether to be dropped off at the train station in Ollantaytambo, at its main square or to head back to Cusco. We'll ask you about your preference after the reservation has been made (via the Viator/Tripadvisor chat).

    8:00 am: Meet Roxana who is part of the eldest family keeping the weaving traditions alive. Her alpacas and guinea pigs will welcome you and you can feed them their breakfast. Further, learn about their fascinating weaving techniques using natural ingredients to create impressive textiles by hand.

  • Moray, Maras, Peru
    9:30 am: Imagine the impressive Inca terraces and the beautiful Andes in the background. This view is just stunning, the story behind even more. Your guide will teach you about the Inca's agricultural laboratory, and how they created different climatic zones in these terraces. We'll enjoy this place for about 45min - 1h.

    11 am: Staying in front of thousands of salt ponds, still intact. Here you have the chance to take one of the most famous pictures in the Sacred Valley. Our guide will be happy to capture this moment for you. From here we continue our tour to have delicious lunch.

    2:40 pm: Our last discovery for that day: The terraces and ruins of Ollantaytambo. This place was highly protected as it was the entrance to the path to Machu Picchu. Thus, much happened here during the Spanish invasion.

    3:50 pm: You have the option to be dropped off at the train station in Ollantaytambo, or to return with us to Cusco.

We had one day tour to sacred valley with Exploor, Maik is a great guide. Due to the pandemic and recent strike, there was not many tourists, I reserved for a group tour but end up having a private tour, the whole experience was wonderful, I learned a lot about the Peruvian culture. The price may on the high end but the experience you get is superb.

We covered a lot of great sites in the Sacred Valley. Miguel was an excellent guide. From the salt ponds to various archaeological sites, the Sacred Valley did not disappoint!

This tour was so informative and Carlos was amazing! The timing was perfect, every stop was so interesting and Carlos gave us the perfect amount of detail and also knew the answer to every single one of our many questions! Can’t recommend a tour with Carlos enough!
