Our visit to the Palequemao Market was an absolute highlight of our trip to Bogota, and it wouldn’t have been the same without our incredible guide, Maria Jose Caro. Her passion for the local culture and food was infectious. She shared fascinating insights into the origins of the fruits and vegetables, offering a deeper understanding of Colombia's rich agricultural diversity. Maria also took us on a delicious journey, introducing us to some of the best pandebonos we've tasted across the country. Every stop in the market felt like discovering a hidden gem, from unique fruits to local delicacies we never would have found on our own. This tour was absolutely FABULOUS! Treated with the dedication and delight of a fine wine tasting, this fruit tasting tour was so lovely. We learned a lot about the diversity of the foods of Colombia, and tried an amazing variety of fruits and traditional snacks. I have lived in Colombia for five years and found I still had so much to learn from this experience. Our guide María is kind, thoughtful and so fun and funny.
