About the Tour

The Tour takes you to the 15th century, when the Arawak Indian tribe lived on the island. After viewing the pictographs, you will see the northeast coast and visit Boca Onima bay, where you will have time to walk around.

Get on the bus and get to know the east of the island and the history better! From the collection point you drive through Kaya Grandi, the main street of Bonaire. This is where most of the shops and restaurants are located. While driving, more is told about the history of the island, the culture and the food. On the location you can view the authentic pictographs on a limestone ledge, which is partly shaped as a cave entrance. It is said that the symbols were written by the Arawak Indians, who lived on Bonaire in the 15th century. Driving along the northeast coast you can see waves splashing against the coast and the donkeys walking around. You will also visit Boca Onima, a bay with a beautiful inlet of waves and where you can view the windmills!
