This trip was amazing and we are so glad we went. Our tour guide, Kevin, was very informative and also had a great sense of humor. He spoke fluent French for the French couple and very good English for the American tourists. The climb up to the top of the Dune is a bit strenuous but Kevin was very helpful in navigating us safely and accommodating to special needs. The views from the top are spectacular. It is a must do experience assuming you can climb up and down the Dune. Kevin took us to a local oyster place outside of Arcachon which was also amazing and fun. The local oysters, shrimp, and wine were delicious and our group had plenty of food and drink for a fantastic lunch. Arachon itself is very commercialized but the walk on the beach boardwalk after lunch was worth the experience. I highly recommend this trip and book with Kevin if you can!

This place is a “don’t miss” if you are in the Bordeaux area! Stunning vistas from the dunes over the Atlantic and the experience going to the local oyster eatery and farm were both wonderful travel memories. The beach side town of Arcachon was lovely. The beach and shopping are superb. Kevin was a fantastic guide and I do not think the experience would have been the same without him. He was knowledgeable about the history of the area, geology the dune formation, and the oyster farming process. Kevin’s driving was exemplary and he was very patient…especially when we were climbing the dunes. The dune walk and ascent was a little tough. Definitely not something for folks who are not fit. .

Best tour! We absolutely loved it. Our guide was a sociable and funny chap. We could not fault the tour. You get to see a beautiful dune (and climb it), eat some wonderful seafood where the locals go, and see a coastal time. Hands down would do this again given the opportunity.
