It takes ~60 meters / 200 feet elevation to climb up from the river. The Chain bridge is currently closed, you can cross the river from Pest by M2 subway or one of the other bridges.

Excellent tour! And the biggest reason for this was our tour guide, Judit! So knowledgable! Very fluid with her tour, telling us facts and stories of the history of the Buda Castle District. Our group was just the right size, not too large. Judit did a great job keeping us all engaged during the entire 3 hours. Thanks Judit! We totally recommend this tour to everyone.

This is for the more seasoned traveller who wants to gain new knowledge alongside seeing the Castle area. If you are interested in intelligent discussions and memorable stories, this is for you. Our group size was small (5), probably due to low tourist season. We had no rush at all, but 3 hours went too quickly. Thanks Greg for your time, knowledge and thoughts.
