Grandma's Home Cooking School is beautifully situated in the middle of nature, including its own large garden, mushroom farm and small, extremely animal-friendly chicken coop. The course begins with a tour of the garden, where lots of interesting things are explained about the fresh ingredients and their color and taste influences on the food. It's enviable that things can be grown and harvested here all year round. Then it's time to cook. Soup, starter and main course can be freely chosen, including vegetarian options. Our guide knew how to explain each step in detail with a lot of humor and it was amazing how easy it is to prepare Thai dishes at restaurant level if you have all the fresh ingredients and sauces to hand. Cooking with the wok on gas was also a great experience for us as glass ceramic cooks. Everything tasted wonderful and the funny group of different nationalities got along well together.
The only criticism and a suggestion for improvement: you have very little time to eat. Hardly a plate was empty before we had to start preparing the next course in order to keep to the schedule. That's not easy at a table with other interesting course participants.
