Angel gave us a day we will never forget! He customized our trip to Cinque Terre to include everything we wanted and more - time in each town, a hike through the national park, incredible wine, seafood, and pasta. He navigated the train and boat schedules, restaurant reservations, and travel to and from Florence with ease! Angel was so kind, knowledge, and he made it so easy for us to enjoy this special part of Italy!

One of the very best things we did in Italy! This tour was amazing. We happened to be the only couple who signed up for the tour this day, so ended up with a private tour. Our guide, Fred, made the whole thing so incredible. He was interesting, funny, a blast to hang out with and had such great insights! And he brilliant timed navigating the four villages we visited in an unconventional order to avoid the crowds and tour buses—it was genius! I fully expected mobs of tourists everywhere (especially later in the day), but they never materialized thanks to his knowledge of when to be where to give us the best experience possible. Not to mention his killer walking tours of all the villages to get us the best views while teaching us about the history, culture, geology, flora and more.
And don’t let the cost deter you. It is absolutely worth it. We did a lot of curated tours and guided day trips from Florence on our visit — this one was on the more expensive side but we totally felt like we got our money’s worth and then some. It’s a full day but it never feels either rushed or dull (even the 2-hour drives to and from La Spezia were fun thanks to Fred’s engaging conversation and knowledge). And the whole tour was really just chocked full of so much more substance and way better experiences than you’d get trying to make the trek yourself or with a larger group tour.
Though we were the only people on our tour by chance, it was obvious that Fred’s skills as a guide would ensure it would still be fantastic if a few more couples had joined—he is so, so much more than just a driver and was absolutely the best guide we had in Italy.

Johnny was a fantastic guide!! He guided you on some hiking paths or let you explore on your own. The lunch provided was at a delicious restaurant in Vernazza. Not skimpy! Seeing 4 out of the 5 Cinque Terre towns was an absolute delight.
