The tour was led under the fascinating and knowledgable Jose. He engaged the group throughout with informative descriptions, humour, and clarity. The Alcazar was interesting with the historical story and the atmosphere recreating the past. The synagogue was particularly interesting given our preconceptions. Finally the cathedral/Mosque visit was a wonderful journey through its entire existence. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I had a tour with Jose. Our first stop was the Alcazar, followed by the synagogue. At the end of the tour, we visited the Mosque/Cathedral. Jose explained everything during all three visits. However, the visit to the cathedral felt rushed. Let's be honest, the main attraction in Córdoba is the cathedral. That’s basically it! After the tour ended, Jose should have asked us, while still inside the cathedral, if we wanted to stay longer. I wanted to take more pictures but had no idea. Once we stepped outside, he collected our headsets, and there was no going back in! I asked if I could re-enter, and he said no, I would need to pay 13 euros to go back in. So, I ended up paying another 13 euros to revisit the cathedral. The funny part is, Jose and I ran into each other later inside the cathedral while he was leading another group tour! It was very awkward. Why didn’t he just let me join that group, knowing he had another scheduled right after? This tour agency needs to do a better job of handling situations like this. My suggestion is skip to this tour and go on your own! You are free to leave when ever you want. Take your pictures, don't be rushed. You can read a Wikipedia page during your visits to read up on history.
