Be picked up from your hotel and go to directly to station and get on board the train to Morretes City. Travel through the centenary railway, built in the 19th century. Take a historic train trip on the Paranaguá-Curitiba Railway, which had its inaugural trip made by Princess Isabel in 1884. The railway has more than 41 bridges, hundreds of pontoons, 13 tunnels and viaducts of great importance, such as Ponte São João and Viaduto do Carvalho among mountains and impressive valleys, adorned by rivers and waterfalls. Visit the historical side of the city see its colonial houses, craft market and churches, and have a delightful lunch with typical local food.     Following, you'll stop for lunch at the Nhundiaquara river banks to taste a Barreado (Traditional dish of Paraná). It consists of several cuts of beef slowly cooked over 12 hours on a clay pan. Manioc flour added with water is used to seal the pan, preventing steam from coming out. Once done the meat just falls apart. Served over rice and with sliced bananas, oranges and Manioc Flour. On the side, a Breaded Fish is also served. Simply irresistible.

I created a lot of expectations on this tour, it was something I wanted to do for years. I took a walk on a beautiful sunny Sunday. I wanted to contemplate the landscape, breathe nature and meditate. However, the Guide (kelly) did not stop talking for 1 second, not only that, it is people the time td talking, selling things inside the train (employees). This ended with the charm of the tour, which cost me R$ 350 real! I don't indicate, unless you like so much talk. The landscape is indeed divine and I would love to enjoy it in silence.

The train ride is wonderful, but it is just as easy to go to the train station and buy tickets then get a taxi/Uber back home versus bothering with the hassle of the tour. Pick up was chaotic and late. The tour guide could barely speak English despite the extra charge for an English speaking tour. We intentionally purchased this to understand the history of the sights, and we left knowing no more than when we started. The other aspects of the tour after the train were a joke and lunch was very average.
