Add a safari adventure to your Diani beach vacation. It’s only a 3-hour drive to Kenya’s largest reserve, Tsavo East National Park. There’s plenty of wildlife to enjoy amongst the rugged landscape here. Tsavo East is known for its lions, but there are also leopard, cheetah, buffalo, elephant, impala, zebra and over 500 species of birds in this renowned park. In contrast to Tsavo’s vast stretches of savannah, Amboseli National Park promises a different safari experience. A smaller and open reserve, the park’s size makes it easier to spot game. Amboseli is known as the best place in the world to view free ranging elephants. It is also framed by the massive vista of Mt. Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest peak. From your Diani Beach or south coast resort we will set out early, heading for Mombasa and then travel along the scenic Mombasa-Nairobi highway. In just about 3 hours you’ll get your first glimpse of Tsavo’s red clay soil at its southern gate.

Vi besøkte Tsavo West, Amboseli og Tsavo East. Parkene var litt forskjellige, men alle hadde en mengde ville dyr, som kunne fotograferes på nært hold. Kilanguni Serena var åpenbart den beste, både ut fra beliggenhet og fasiliteter. Ol Tukai lodge var også meget bra. Ashnil Aruba lodge vurderes som mindre bra, grunnet dårlig renhold og tildels dårlig service. Sjåføren/guiden, Abdull, var svært dyktig både som sjåfør og guide. Kunnskapsrik og offensiv. Det som trekker litt ned, er utrolig lange transportetapper fra hotellet til nevnte parker.

We saw lions, elephantes, giraffes, a leopard and so much more! Amazing experience. Ezekiel was a great guide, he taught us a lot about the wildlife in ????????.

Die Guides waren pünktlich, die Sentrim Lodge in Amboseli war richtig gut, die Voi Safari Lodge in Tsavo east hatte zwar einen einzigartigen Blick in den Park, doch das Essen war nicht gut im Vergleich zu anderen Lodges. Außerdem waren so viele Leute in der Lodge, man hatte nirgends eine ruhige Ecke. Zudem waren die Fahrer ein großes Problem, wir hatten 2 Autos und die Fahrer stimmten sich nur bedingt ab und fingen so gar zum Diskutieren an.
