I did a lot of research prior to booking and saw that H.O.T peppers tour company had a ton of good reviews so we decided to book with them for our family of 6 to include two young babies. Our tour was the 4 hour Pepper special which was supposed to be 8:30-12:30. We got off of our cruise ship and found the van with another couple on the same tour. apparently there was some communication issues as there was an additional family supposed to be joining our tour but they were told the time was 9:30 for starting so we had to wait for over an hour in the van which was stressful for everyone as we did not understand what the hold up was. When we finally got on our way it was better for all but I will say the roads are very bumpy! On a positive side we were able to visit the emerald pool and then taken to Mara beach which was a Black sand beach to relax for a few. As the tour got extended due to the hour delay in the beginning I tried to order food at the local restaurant to take back on the drive and that was a nightmare as it took over 45 mins to get the food and it was sub-par at best. Our van did however have refreshments for all the passengers to include beer, waters, and soda. All in all it was great to see the highlights of the island but there were some communication disconnects along the way.

The tour was fantastic! Pepper and the tour guide Georgiana were so knowledgeable about the island and showed us some lovely areas. They really looked after us, making sure that we had refreshments and had sufficient time at each stop. They knew exactly where to go to avoid the crowds! They took us to a gorgeous beach that felt like it was for our own private use as well as a lovely waterfall. We even spent longer than 4 hours with them as they were so keen to make sure we had seen everything we wanted to. The minibus was super comfortable and looked far superior to transport used on other trips. We were a little worried booking this tour independently and not going through our cruise ship, but we really shouldn’t have worried as it turned out to be the best activity of our holiday. As a family of 4 we felt looked after and gained such an insight into this beautiful island. Thank you Pepper and Georgiana we highly recommend you to others!
