If you want to live an incredible adventure and get to know one of the most beautiful rivers in the country, THIS EXCURSION IS FOR YOU. Cola de Pato is a hidden treasure between the hills of Jamao al Norte (Espaillat Province), it is a place for true adventurers; those who are not afraid to walk, or jump from a 10 meter high stone into a river. It is for those who enjoy turquoise rivers, nature and want to do something out of the ordinary that all tourist do. If you choose an expert guide like me, I assure you that you will have a great time and will not be afraid to jump from any height. I'll make this day memorable!

    We meet at 9:00 AM at the agreed meeting point and then we leave for the Jamao Norte mountains, approximately 40 minutes driving, depending on where we leave. Then we arrive at the starting point to go down to the river that will be a journey of approximately 3 hours depending on how fast you are. I know it sounds like a long time, but don't worry, it will be 3 hours of fun, jumping off rocks and swimming through turquoise waters. After the tour, a typical Dominican meal will be waiting for us. We eat at the house of one of the locals and spend time with them. After lunch we return to the original meeting point and on the way there, we stop to buy very cold Presidente beers that everyone loves.

This place is a must to if you're in the North Coast. It is absolutely amazing and your eyes will not believe all the beauty you'll see! The tour guide, Gerald was super professional and friendly and truly cared about giving us the best trip. The food was delicious and a true Dominican experience. Can't wait to go again!

The jumps and all of the pictures Gerald took. The color of the water is spectacular! The tour is difficult! The jumps are really tall and the hike up is a bit challenging after jumping so much
