Dublin Airport, Dublin, Ireland
Carrickfergus Castle, Carrickfergus, United Kingdom Heading north on the M1 from Dublin we take the Mourne coast road. On your right is the Irish Sea and to the left the magnificent Mourne mountains.
Our first stop is the port of Carrick Fergus. Along with its famous castle, Carrick Fergus is steeped in history. Take a tour of the castle and hear of the many wars it was involved in.
In 1778, during the American war of independence, Captain John Paul Jones tried and failed to capture the port due to the considerable defense of the castle. Hear how he returned a few days later in his ship the “Ranger” and challenged the British Flagship “HMS Drake” to open battle, a battle Captain Jones won emphatically.
From Carrickfergus we head further north to the causeway itself, along the way you will see the dramatic coastline of east Ulster eroded over the years by the relentless aggression of the Irish sea. 60 minutes
Giant's Causeway, Bushmills, United Kingdom When you reach the Causeway (The 8th Wonder of the world) you will marvel at nature’s wonders. See the perfectly formed Hexagonal shaped rock pillars rise side by side to a height of 40 feet, see the stunning lava cliffs rise dramatically from the sea. Hear the stories of the giants Fionn McCool of Ireland and Benandonner of Scotland and their many engagements and how they used the causeway as stepping stones to do battle with each other. 60 minutes
Bushmills Distillery, Bushmills, United Kingdom (The Bushmills Distillery is temporary closed until the end of 2021) In the small village of Bushmills, settled on the banks of the river you'll find the oldest working distillery in Ireland. A place where family and friends have worked for generations, in a small Northern Irish village that for over 400 years has kept to the philosophy that hand crafting small batches is the way to produce beautifully smooth tasting Irish whiskey. 60 minutes
Dunluce Castle, Portrush, United Kingdom The iconic ruin of Dunluce Castle bears witness to a long and tumultuous history. First built on the dramatic coastal cliffs of north County Antrim by the MacQuillan family around 1500, the earliest written record of the castle was in 1513.
Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge, Ballintoy, United Kingdom Connected to the cliffs by a rope bridge across the Atlantic Ocean, Carrick-a-Rede Island is home to a single building - a fisherman's cottage.
Suspended almost 100 ft (30 m) above sea level, the rope bridge was first erected by salmon fisherman 350 years ago. 60 minutes
The Dark Hedges, Ballymoney, United Kingdom On the way back to Dublin we will be driving by the most photographed location in Northern Ireland - The Dark Hedges. Even the wildly popular Game of Thrones has popped over to the Dark Hedges to film a scene at this eerily beautiful road...

Tour guide Liam was good. Had issues with headset for the first half of drive so those of us in the back of the van heard nothing.
Have never been on a private tour that didn't prebuy tickets or at least tell you they weren't included and what stops needed tickets.
Luckily it was low season so we were able to get in. Would have not been a good trip if we didn't have tickets. The sights were beautiful.

Five star service from start to finish. The moment I made an inquiry, to booking reservations and then first experience, the level of service has been exceptional. No hassles, easy to communicate and knowledgeable staff helped answer questions, strategize and seamlessly create a wonderful experience. I traveled in style, elegantly, easily and best of all without pretense. Cliff was my driver for the day. I couldn’t ask for a better driver who was a perfect gentleman and also very knowledgeable and kind. I felt very comfortable and the drive was executed with exacting precision. I look forward to future bookings and highly recommend! Coming from Manhattan, NYC , I am very happy to have made this connection!

We had a fantastic day with Keiron as our driver. He picked us up in our hotel at 7 am and took us everywhere we wanted to go. First stop was the Giants Causeway - it was amazing beyond our expectations and we ended up spending almost two hours there, which threw off the rest of our schedule a bit. But the whole reason we decided to hire a private driver was so we would have flexibility to adjust to our interests and needs. Next, Keiron recommended a hotel/pub for lunch. We had a tasty meal there. Our next stop was to be the rope bridge at Carrick-a-Rede, but we were disappointed to find that tickets were sold out. We were able to hike down the path to the start of the bridge and the views were lovely, but it was still a bummer to not be able to actually walk on it. I recalled then that I had tried to reserve tickets in advance and had asked the vendor twice for an estimated itinerary for the day, but he never responded. The first time he said “you can talk to your driver about your schedule when he picks you up.” Then when I asked again a second time, he just never responded. Given how much I was juggling while planning a three-week trip with lots of moving parts, this fell between the cracks. But I would recommend to other travelers that you insist on arranging your itinerary in advance so you can buy your tickets to Carrick-a-Rede. My kids were disappointed to have come all that way and to not be able to cross it.
After that we made brief stops at Dunluce and Bushmills Distillery - no time for a tour, just a stop to buy some whiskey. At our request we then drove through Belfast and Kristin pointed out some interesting sites before we hit the road back to Dublin. All in all it was a great day and we would highly recommend using this service. We were very pleased with the convenience and comfort, and Keiron was a great driver full of interesting information and stories.
