What began as a peaceful horse ride through the desert and along the beach quickly spiraled into a near-death ordeal. Despite clearly informing the guide that neither my wife nor I can swim, he still led us into the sea on horseback. That’s when everything went wrong. The guide’s horse panicked and reared, injuring the guide’s leg. My horse kicked me twice, leaving me with a cut on my shoulder and a painful bruise on my back. I was pushed further into the water and blacked out. Meanwhile, my wife — who cannot swim — was left screaming for help, and no one responded. Even worse, some locals nearby laughed at us during this traumatic moment. Tragically, the guide’s horse died after ingesting too much saltwater — a heartbreaking and completely preventable outcome. There were no safety protocols, no emergency support, and absolutely zero accountability. To make matters worse, my original review was taken down after I included a photo of the deceased horse — likely because it showed the brutal reality of what happened. So I’m reposting this, without the photo, because people deserve to know the truth. We are both emotionally traumatized and physically injured. This was not just poor service — it was gross negligence. Avoid this experience at all costs.
