I presume the itinerary changes so it was difficult to get information until a day before which was nerve-wracking. Overall this was a great trip on a lovely spacious boat. We were allocated an outward facing cabin which was great (boats can be moored together so can block the view). Food was varied and very nice, and most of the staff were excellent. We were told by our guide only to tip at the end in an envelope provided which was useful but didn't prevent man who took our bags to our cabin being quite aggressive in looking for a tip. We were moored for the first 24 hours before the boat left Luxor which was fine to do the sightseeing and relax on the boat. Our guide was great but we found the intensity of being guided too much. Our optional hot air balloon trip was spectacular and highly recommended but a very early start like most trips. One huge problem for us was that a vendor attached his boat to our boat, and was right outside our cabin window calling "hello" for over five hours, even when we asked four times for the staff to do something about it - we were unwell at the time and were trying to sleep. Nothing was done to get rid of this man even when the boat manager promised to do something about it. He was there attached when our boat was moving pretty fast so I don't know why he was allowed to remain attached. The trip to the Temple of Philae as ruined by being too short - just one hour and we were herded about rather than being allowed to enjoy ourselves at our own pace. There is a lovely cafe there with resident cats that I would've liked to have stopped at at leisure rather than a quick drink. Overall highly recommended but be aware you are on the guide's schedule not your own. We were for example picked up at Luxor Airport at 8.30am after a 3am start and taken straight to Karnak and Luxor temples, rather than taken to the boat to offload and change - we could've done the trips later in the afternoon when the boat was stationary until the next day for example. So there was a lot of rushing about when we could've been taken at a more leisurely pace.
