During the 80s El Salvador suffered a civil war and east provinces suffered more during those years, for many years Morazan was only visited by soldiers or guerrilla forces, many big battles took place in this area. After the peace agreement almost all the original habitants returned to their lands and now many of them work on tourism and are happy to share their stories to visitors, and this is what makes this tour a unique experience. This tour departs at 5am returns by 6pm, depending on traffic conditions

One of my favorite tours while in El Salvador and worth the drive to Morazan. Our tour guide Alex was super friendly and knowledgeable. From El Mozote Memorial, Garden of Innocents,The Museum of Salvadorian Revolution, and more, I learned a lot about Salvadorian history through an ex-revolutionary Felipe, who was full of first-hand experiences and so much knowledge!

Visitamos varios lugares en Ruta de Paz y la experiencia acompañados del guía Sebastian Torogoz fue algo inolvidable, hacer esta ruta con un guía es lo mas recomendable, ya que la escuchar la historia desde la voz de sus protagonistas es algo fantástico. Tiene muchos atractivos, tanto históricos como naturales. Yo recomiendo hacer una visita de mínimo 3 días para tener tiempo de visitar los lugares mas emblemáticos. Uno de los mejores lugares para comer esta en Perquin, es un pequeño restaurante, muy acogedor y con comida muy rica, café bien preparado de la zona y accesibles precios, Memorias café. Ademas ofrece una extensa variedad de hoteles de montaña como El Pericon, Finca Esperanza, entre otros.

If you love history, this tour is a must. Moises was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the history. I highly recommend it.
