Afternoon Jack the Ripper Tour with 'Ripper-Vision' in London

Rob was an excellent "Ripperologist" on this tour. He maintained an air of mystery, drama, and solemnity for the victims without being too theatrical. The tour was well-paced with several stops at crime scenes and relevant landmarks. The only criticism is that the "Ripper-Vision" is merely a few images projected onto a wall along the tour from a handheld projector. Although the images helped tell the story, the fact that they were very small and hard to see due to the daylight was a bit disappointing. Perhaps a different sort of display, especially during the 5pm tour when it's still light out, would give a better effect. Nonetheless, I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting London.

This tour was the highlight of my week stay in London! The pacing was great with lots of interesting information. The tour guide was personable and a great visual storyteller!

For aficionados of true crime, this tour is for you! The gruesome murders of Jack the Ripper are some of the most disturbing but enduring mysteries in the world of true crime. On this tour, tour guide Mic took us through some of the most significant locations involved in the original investigation. Do note, you will not be able to see all the locations where the Ripper murders took place as some are spaced quite far apart from one another. Mic is a wealth of knowledge on not only Jack the Ripper, but true crime in general. If you have any questions about the macabre, don’t hesitate to ask him! Be cautioned though, this tour is not for young ones or for those that are squeamish. Mic not only provided vivid descriptions of the disturbing events, but also brough along graphic images taken from the crime scenes themselves. Make sure to wear a good pair of walking shoes and dress appropriately for the day’s weather conditions. And maybe wait to have supper until after the tour is over.
