Travel back in time with this excursion to Ephesus from Izmir. You will tour the vestiges of one of the most surprising ancient cities in the Eastern Mediterranean. We will pick you up at the indicated hotel at 8:00 am and travel in a comfortable minibus to Ephesus, an ancient city located on the Ionia coast. After a trip of an hour and a half, we will reach the site of Ephesus, one of the great tourist attractions in Turkey, since it is one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities in the country. Once there, we will take a guided tour of Ephesus to see some of its monumental jewels, such as the Library of Celsus, one of the most luxurious bibliographic archives of the Roman Empire in the Eastern Mediterranean. Nearby we will find the Roman Theater. Did you know that it had a capacity for 24,000 people? It is impressive! After the visit of Ephesus, we take a lunch. On the other hand, you will also have traditional shopping opportunities for jewelry, leather, or ceramic centers.

This tour was a great choice to visit Ephesus from Izmir. I don't exactly remember the name of the guide but it was similar to Iker (sorry if the writing is wrong), he is very prepared and guided us perfectly, explaining the history of the place and giving also insights about the city of Izmir + funny conversation during transfer and lunch. They gave us water and the transfer was very comfortable and equipped with AC.

Great views of ancient ruins. Conveniewnt hotel pickup. Good tour guide in a van with only 4 of us on the tour.

We are on our 2nd tour with Gezenthi and guide Erman who shared his vast knowledge of Ephesus with the group. He gave us plenty of free exploring time and guided time with him was interesting, humorous and time well spent in the beautiful ruins of Ephesus. His vivid description of the theatre and especially the public toilets left nothing to the imagination :) We are leaving Izmir today with fond memories of 2 days with Gezenthi and Erman.
