Embark with a local guide to observe the beauty of the Ria Formosa Natural Park with an experienced guide. We will give different explanations about the natural park and the surrounding ecosystem. There will be a guided tour on breech island. We can book a table at a restaurant to make it more comfortable for you. Take note that there will be three stops on the islands. However, these are dependent on weather conditions. Our route will be Ilha da Armona, Ilha da Culatra, and Ilha do Farol or if the weather does not allow it, it will be Ilha da Barreta, Farol and Culatra.

  • Ilha de Armona, Olhao, Portugal
    Armona Island is an old fisherman's island. This stop is for getting to know this island with its narrow streets and typical houses.

  • Ilha da Culatra, Ilha da Culatra, Portugal
    The only fisherman island in the Ria Formosa. Inhabited all year by about 1000 people. Typical village that lives mainly from fishing. There will be a guided tour and time for lunch. Lunch is not included in the tour price. We can book a table in a restaurant to be more comfortable and have more time. Finally, we will stop at the deserted island of Culatra where you will have free time to walk around, take a dip or simply relax in the sun. (1 hour approx.)

  • Ilha Do Farol, Ilha Do Farol, Portugal
    There will be a 45 min stop on this island. Very beautiful and peculiar island, mostly secondary houses.

    The tour will take place in the Ria Formosa Natural Park where you will have the opportunity to visit several islands.

Gur guide was very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the National park and willing to share this with his guests As a fisherman himself he knew and was prepared to share his understanding in a very friendly and easy way . He was prepared to take us into his family home and feed his guests with some of the families local produce green sparkly wine and oysters, fantastic !!

Nous avons fait un tres beau tour sur la Ria Formosa. Notre guide, Filipe est passionné et amoureux de la région ! Il parle de la Ria Formosa avec passion et beaucoup d’érudition. Je recommande chaudement de faire cette découverte avec Rota Das Ilhas ! Bravo et merci

Je ne peux que vous recommander Philippe et sa société. Authentique, familiale, le guide s’est adapté à nos demandes, et au conditions météo pour nous faire découvrir un maximum de choses, avec de super explications sur l’histoire, la nature, les oiseaux,… nous avons passé une journée magnifique!!
