In addition to 'David,' the Accademia also has several unfinished Michelangelo sculptures, plus a collection that includes works by Botticelli, Paolo Uccello, Andrea del Sarto, and more. Leonardo was our guide. Do not settle for less. Request Leonardo. We were staying at the Saint Regis and Leonardo used our location as an opportunity to see other interesting sites on the way. He took us by the oldest pharmacy in the world, the oldest building in Florence, the Piazza della Republica, and the Piazza del Duomo where the Florence Cathedral. All of this on the way to give us historical content on the way to see the David. He was full of terrific information and spoke perfect English. The David was spectacular. Seeing it in person was breathtaking. It stands almost 16’. No pictures in books can give you any idea. I’m serious when I say this, a private tour with Leonardo is worth whatever the cost. Bravo Leonardo!

I highly recommend going on this tour. Leonardo was highly knowledgeable and very personable. He took us on a great tour picking us up at our hotel. I would 100% send my friends and family on this tour.

The tour of the Accademia was our favorite. Leonardo met my friend and me at our hotel. He took us on a walking tour showing us the history of Michelangelo’s David. We ended up at the Accademia and seeing David. It was breathtaking! Leonardo was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend spending the money for a private tour.
