This particular area of Tuscany is fortunate to produce a variety of truffles throughout the year. There is therefore always a good chance of finding these unparalleled treasures of nature. The truffle hunt takes place around a farmhouse near Barberino di Mugello. Here you will meet an expert truffle hunter who will teach you all the secrets about truffles and their search. You will be involved in a fascinating walk in the truffle forest following the dogs trained to search for truffles. At the end of the hunt you can enjoy a delicious tasting in a splendid farmhouse in Mugello.

I could not express how amazing the experience was! My group chose to do the truffle hunt and cooking class. The truffle hunter and his dog Gina were awesome, as were Silvia and Carmen from Mugello & Tuscany, and Carlo, our chef! They took care of all our needs and were so understanding. The grounds are beautiful, and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. We celebrated a birthday on the tour, and Carmen arranged a delicious cake to turn our birthday into one we will never forget! The food and wine were amazing, and we were smiling and laughing the entire time! Truly a life-changing experience, and I could not recommend Mugello & Tuscany more!!!!

My daughter and I went for the truffle hunting and cooking experience. We were picked up by Paolo from Florence and the journey was lovely. The truffle hunt was fun and the cooking class by Chef Marco was amazing. The food was so good and abundant!! We really have a lovely time and highly recommend this activity! It made our trip to Florence highly memorable!

This is a must do with this company when in Florence. From booking with Sylvia …to pick up from train station by owner/tour guide Carmen, Chef Carlo, Farmhouse owner Laura, Truffle Hunter Mauro and star of the show … the dog Gina!!!! Can’t be any better than what we have experienced. Felt like we visited a friend’s house and they accompanied us. It was really a unique, memorable, fun interactive experience. DO NOT HESITATE you will love it! coffee and snack… truffle hunt… make your own fresh pasta… cook the truffle you found!
