You will learn about the history of the area which is home to the longest antique market in the world, colourful art, fashion, beautiful architecture, iconic movie locations immortalized here on film and why there is such a large Spanish community here too. There are six stops, including Venezuelan street food (the Cachapa) from Papelón, freshly imported Jamón Serrano & Andalucian olives from mainland Spain to one of the oldest - still family run - Spanish delis in London, a tasting of local gin from the Portobello Road Gin Distillery, baked in-house croissant buns from the hottest new bakery to hit Notting Hill, chocolate truffles from a hidden away chocolatier and a suprise picked up from the world famous Ottolenghi's. Eddie was a wonderful tour guide. He weaved history and food into an enjoyable three-hour tour of Notting Hill. He made sure that our tastes for the food and drinks were addressed at each stop. Our group was small, so we had time for interesting conversations about numerous subjects. We recommend the tour if you are looking to explore more of London than just the normal tourist locations. Two big thumbs up!

Portobello through new perspective for our group of 15! Fantastic facts, history and food in an area we thought we knew well. Eddie showed us special gems of food and history hidden in plain sight in Portobello Road area. Terrific tour with a well informed and engaging host! Will be booking future tours with this company!

Every bit! Lovely really interesting food and drink, local history and links to films art and culture. Walk was well planned and timed. History of Spanish settlement in Portobello rd was especially interesting for us. Day was very relaxed and not rushed at all. This was our second tour with Eddie.
