Begin your day trip at the most well known Longshan Temple, learn the culture & religions of Taiwan and admire the ancient architecture built in 1738. 30 minutes
Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Zhongzheng District, Taiwan The most prominent historical landmark in Taiwan, the CKS Memorial Hall was erected in honor and memory of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, the former President of the Republic of China, and was opened in 1980 as part of a national park and gathering area.
A huge complex includes the Liberty Square, National Theatre and the Memorial Hall where you can see the show of guard exchange. 30 minutes
Dihua Street, Datong, Taiwan Dihua Street has been an important centre for commerce in Taiwanese products and produce such as Chinese medicinal herbs, fabrics, incense materials, and for the post-processing of Taiwanese tea since 1850s.
This street offers visitors a glimpse of mid-19th century Taipei as well as the city’s thriving artistic side. 30 minutes
Dalongdong Bao An Temple, Datong, Taiwan Originally constructed in 1742 as a wooden shrine, the Bao'an Temple is a Taiwanese folk religion temple. 30 minutes
National Palace Museum, Shilin, Taiwan Originally founded within the walls of the Beijing Forbidden City in 1925, the present-day National Palace Museum moved to Taipei's Shilin District following the Republic of China government relocation in 1949 with an official opening for the public in 1965. Over 600,000 of the most precious artefacts within the collection were moved to Taiwan to prevent their desecration during and after the Chinese Civil War.
This attraction is optional, you can either spend your time on admiring the precious artifacts or skip the museum if you're not interested. 60 minutes
Taipei 101, Xinyi District, Taiwan The landmark of Taiwan and once the tallest building in the world (2004-2010)! You can either go up the observations at 89F (expense on your own) or admire this building from the surroundings (free). 30 minutes
Elephant Mountain (aka Nangang District Hiking Trail), Xinyi District, Taiwan This is the best choice if you want to get the best spot to admire the view of Taipei City & Taipei 101.
However, a 40-minute hiking along the stairs is required (25-min going up, 15-min going down), but the view up there is definitely the best you can have in Taipei City. 30 minutes

I took the 8h private tour of Taipei at the end of June 2023. I had a wonderful experience. I wanted to see as much of Taipei as possible without having to worry about logistics and transport. My tour guide, Harry, was excellent. He spoke good English and had a great sense of humour. We were able to communicate without problems via whatsapp a couple of days before the tour. He drives safely, in a nice air-conditioned car and can explain the history behind all the monuments/sites we visited. I also enjoyed our conversations about life in Taiwan. He took me to the main sites and also adapted the tour to my interests since I had planned to visit a couple of monuments at a later time. I also really enjoyed the restaurant where we ate and at the end of the day he actually took the time to drive me to a concert hall so I could check how to get tickets and figure out the location since I was attending an event that evening. If I visit Taiwan again I will definitely use YOLO tour services.
