This tour was an amazing experience and opportunity to learn about thousands of years of fascinating Georgian history - from very early human settlements in Uplistsikhe, to the beginning of Christianity in Mtskheta and 20th century Soviet time and Stalin in Gori. Our tourist guide was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating of all our questions and preferences! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

For an immersed experience of Georgia, it is mandatory for the guide to be passionate about the deep knowledge he/she possesses about the country. With Makho, this combined with snippets of his own personal experiences as a child in Tbilisi brings us to an experience like none other. Being emotionally vested and deeply patriotic about his country, the stories he weaves about the history and current affairs of the country sets us on a path of true discovery of the essence of what it means to be Georgian. Moreover, the jovial attitude and bubbly nature of Makho make this an experience worth having and an absolute must when you visit Georgia, so you can learn and enjoy everything you need about Georgia. Wholeheartedly recommend Makho for the true spirit of Georgia.

We used Makho for two day trips. Based in Tbilisi. We went East one day and visited the wine region. Then we went North on the second day to visit the mountains. Both trips were fantastic. Makho was a fabulous tour guide and so knowledgeable about the local areas. We were two families. 4 adults 4 kids. We had the 8 seater and felt comfortable. His driving was great and we felt safe the whole time. HIGHLY recommend.
